Dolphin Assisted Therapy

Dolphin Assisted Therapy is composed of a combination of aquatic methods helping physical and emotional rehabilitation given by a therapist responsable to motívate and create the therapy, where the dolphin plays a fundamental role in the process.

The dolphins are used to perform different behaviors as reinforcement for children and their progress for cooperation and effort, and to transmit the ultrasonic waves that operate beneficually in the Nervous System.

We specifically work with these animal because of their sonar system. Naturally dolphins use it as their unique form of communication. At the Dolphin Assisted Therapy, dolphins have been trained to target their sonar in specific parts of the body where the sonar stimulates the production of neurotransmitter, facilitating both hemispheres of the brain to work coordinated. The sonar also stimulates the cells, hormones and other components of the body. Not only are there alterations at external level, but also in the Immunologic System.

This Program has been designed for children with Special Needs, like: Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Attention Deficit Disorder, Learning and Language Deficiency, among others.
